All members of the National Library of Republic of Karelia (NLRK) are welcome to use the AC. To become a NLRK member you will have to follow the Library's rules.

Persons' from age 14 may become a member of the library.
To become a member and get a library card, the following documents are required: Passport and one 2x3cm photo
There are two types of library cards: temporary and residence. Temporary cardholders are not allowed to check out materials but may have access to services and materials in the library.
New registrants must fill out a form, read over the rules and regulations and sign a form of agreement.
Annually patrons of the library must re-register, in order to maintain updated information. During re-registration, patrons must bring passport or one other official document that shows proof of residence and library card. If there are any changes in information the patron must update it.
If the library card is lost then the patron must pay for new issue card.
To enter the library a patron must show card and then fill out a tracking form with surname and library number. The tracking form must be shown in every department of use and then returned to the front desk upon exit.
Non-members may be issued a one-day pass, by showing passport. One-day pass holders are not allowed to check out materials but may have access to services and materials in the library.
Patrons are not allowed to enter the library with overcoats, hats, large bags, packages and handbags. These items may be checked in the cloakroom free of charge.
Patrons may not hold any events in the library without the permission of library director.
No smoking is allowed in the library with the exception of designated smoking rooms.
Material may not be taken into the smoking room or lavatories.
If patrons break the rules the library has a right to dismiss the patron for a period of time. This period of time depends on the severity of the incident.
