This is the principle gateway to U.S. Department of State's Public Diplomacy overseas presence on the World Wide Web. It is the richest, deepest, and the most current site produced by the Office of International Information Programs (IIP).

Electronic journals

This site is the main site for State's public affairs (that is domestic) audience, as well as for the needs of employees. The section under "The Department" has many useful sections.

Educational and Cultural Bureau Home Page
This is the major site for the Educational and Cultural Bureau, another unit of the former USIA. On this site is information concerning international visitors, Fulbright scholars, and other exchange programs.

U.S. Government-wide Site
This site combines selections and full sites from U.S. executive, legislative and judicial branches of federal, state and local government agencies in one place.

Google Uncle Sam
A site entirely devoted to finding US government resources on the web.

Policy.com
An excellent non-partisan site that provides information and links to a huge number of current policy issues. Each week a certain topic is highlighted, but all areas are updated.

The Scout Report
The Scout Report is a highly respected, weekly online publication from the University of Wisconsin, offering a selection of recommended new and newly discovered Internet sites of interest to researchers and educators. Anyone is also welcome to subscribe to one of the mailing lists (plain text or HTML). Subscription instructions are included at the end of each report.
