Electronic Catalog

Creation of the electronic catalog (EC) for the National Library of the Republic of Karelia started in 1993. At present the EC contains 284,500 entries.

EC today includes:

New acquisitions
Articles dealing with politics, social sciences and humanities
Old and rare books
Foreign Languages Literature
Music editions and audiovisual materials
Literature on local history and geography
Periodicals.

A special collection of books and other materials generously presented to the National Library by the U.S. Embassy in Moscow is part of the library EC and totals 700 entries.

How to search?

Currently you can search the American collection of books and other materials by accessing the general EC of the library. You may easily distinquish items belonging to the American collection by a special mark "YA" .
Important! You should search the materials only in the data base of 282,600 entries.

Select the criteria of search
Type search information in the box to the right of criteria
Click "Find"

In future the American collection will have it's own EC.
